Hunts take place in the northern half of Mozambique, next to the Marromeu Buffalo reserve which forms part of the delta of the mighty Zambezi river. The concession area also includes forest area holding a number of plains game along with it's predators such as leopard and lion. This part of Africa has still been spared the human development taking place further south and in most other southern African countries. This unique wilderness with such a diversity and abundance of game is something to behold and the monetary value to be invested for this magnificent experience is worth every cent.
Accommodations are in wooden chalets with en-suite facilities and food and drink of the highest standard. Since the buffalo are hunted in the swamp area, the use of an Argo amphibian vehicle will get you closer to one of the numerous Buffalo herds feeding in the swamp. The experienced P.H. Gert Saaiman, or one of his equally experienced P.H.'s, will get you into a good position to cleanly kill one of those big black Buffalo beasts. If you do not want to bring your own rifle, you can borrow one.
You will start your journey from Johannesburg Intl. Airport where Pilot and P.H. Gert Saaiman will take you to Beira in Mozambique for rifle clearance and passport control, and after that he will land you at the camp just north of Beira. The plane will be near camp during the duration of the hunt. Line flights are also available from Johannesburg to Beira.
The hunting season is from July through November.
